We're seeking the right candidate for the position of Treatment Nurse at Calcasieu Community Care Center . In this vital role, you'll ensure that our residents receive the highest level of care while collaborating with a dedicated team, providing exceptional clinical leadership and support.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' wounds, including history taking and physical examination.
• Develop individualized care plans based on assessment findings and patient needs.
• Perform advanced wound care procedures, including debridement and dressing changes.
• Administer IV infusions as required for wound management.
• Process specimen collections for laboratory analysis to monitor healing progress.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure continuity of services.
• Participate in utilization review processes to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans.
• Educate patients and their families on wound care techniques and preventive measures.
• Provide support in the training of nursing staff on best practices for wound management.

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate:

• Current Louisiana Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/ RN) license-current/active
• CPR certification preferred
• Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and medical documentation practices.
• Previous experience in senior care is a plus.
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make sound clinical decisions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment and adapt to changing situations.

Other Qualifications

• Has not been excluded from participating in Medicare and Medicaid programs.
• Maintains eligibility to participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs throughout employment.
