Location: Piscataway, NJ Duration: 12 Months Position Overview Support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications. Write, enhance, and troubleshoot code while following development best practices. Collaborate with engineering teams on application improvements and new features. Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and technical discussions. Debug software issues and assist with identifying solutions. Continuously learn new programming languages, tools, and development methodologies. Required Skills Knowledge of at least one programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#. Understanding of basic software development concepts and coding practices. Familiarity with version control tools such as Git. Ability to troubleshoot issues and approach problems logically. Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Ability and willingness to learn new technologies in a fast‑paced environment. Preferred Skills Internship, academic project, or personal project experience in software development. Exposure to web applications, APIs, cloud technologies, or modern development frameworks. Experience using AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT. Familiarity with software testing and quality assurance processes. Experience Entry‑level or early‑career software development experience preferred. Candidates with academic, internship, or project‑based development experience are encouraged to apply. Education Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent technical experience may be considered. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $68,000 to $75,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
