Job Description

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER We are looking for a Social Media Manager to manage and grow our digital presence, expand our membership, and bring our brand to life across various platforms. This person will create content, post regularly and aim to grow our membership. Over time, the role may also be engaged in other strategies such as ad buying. You will work with the owners but have lots of control over the brand’s day‑to‑day voice and presence. The role is part‑time and flexible while requiring creativity and reliability. It’s a great opportunity for someone who is early‑to‑mid‑career, loves an energizing community, and wants to make a visible impact at growing a local business. Who are we? Community Fitness is more than a place to work out—it’s where joy, confidence, and connection come alive. Our members call it their “happy place,” and it shows. For over 20 years in the Roosevelt neighborhood, we have been offering group fitness exclusively because we believe movement is more energizing—and more fun—when shared. What sets us apart is that we have a distinctive mix of high‑energy group fitness classes, with a specialty in dance classes (hip hop, latin, afrodancehall) as well as strength and conditioning, pilates, barre, yoga and restoration – all set in 2,500 square foot studio space with LED mood lighting and a state‑of‑the‑art A/V system. Our instructors have professional backgrounds as former athletes, coaches, dancers and choreographers who care deeply about supporting our members’ health. Plus, we have an extensive virtual program with over 3,500 fitness videos on‑demand. Yet, the real magic is our community. From newcomers in their twenties to longtime locals in their seventies, people show up for each other and make sure everyone feels supported and welcome. At Community Fitness, people leave class feeling empowered, energized, and part of something truly unique.
