As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Officer in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support people on site through strong customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

Job Schedule:

The exact schedule for this role has not been determined. That is common for this type of position and may depend on pre-hire steps that take time which could include the onboarding and training processes. If hired, your manager will work with you to determine your schedule based on business needs and your availability.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
• Support public-facing operations by remaining visible, assisting with de-escalation when needed, and coordinating with site contacts and/or first responders during security-related events.

Minimum Requirements:

• Provide proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associate's degree or 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
• Baton Certification is preferred.
• An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
