Job Description
The International Tax Director will execute all aspects of international tax
including compliance, transfer pricing, and planning. The International Tax
Director will manage a team of tax professionals, collaborate with external
advisors, and work closely with finance, legal, and business units to support
global tax initiatives.
We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Austin, TX for our hybrid
working model.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support IP and tax structure planning to maximize tax efficiency
- Direct global tax compliance
- Direct international quarterly and year-end accounting for income taxes (ASC
740). Direct international tax provisions for foreign statutory financials
* Execute the Company's global transfer pricing strategy and policy including
monitoring controlled transactions, transfer prices and adjustments
- Prepare and maintain intercompany agreements and allocations
- Review the tax components of certain customer agreements
- Review business initiatives to determine the tax impact
- Direct corporate international tax research and interpretation
- Manage international tax audits
- Direct post-acquisition integrations
- Work closely with Treasury in managing cash globally
- Coordinate with outside tax consultants and contractors for various tax
projects
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, MST or LLM
(Taxation) preferred)
EXPERIENCE:
* 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate tax, with at least 5 years
in a leadership role
* Strong compliance and planning experience in a multi-national, multi-entity
environment including the areas of: BEAT, GILTI, FDII, Subpart F, OECD Pillar
Two, Check the Box Principles, U.S. Tax Treaty Research and Interpretation,
Intellectual and Intangible Property Planning, and Transfer Pricing
* Working knowledge of international taxation in Europe and Asia
SKILLS:
- Understanding of SEC and GAAP reporting requirements
- Significant project management skills required
- Ability to navigate complex tax issues and provide strategic solutions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the
time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such
as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part
of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role in the U.S. is:
$129,000—$253,000 USD
