General Manager of Warehouse Operations, Fulfillment and Distribution

Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Location: Dallas, TX

Compensation: $110,000 - $125,000 Base Salary + Bonus

Position Overview:

A growing distribution and fulfillment organization is seeking an experienced General Manager of Warehouse Operations, Fulfillment and Distribution to lead a high-volume, multi-shift operation supporting large-scale inventory management, order fulfillment, and distribution activities.

This leadership role is responsible for overall operational performance, workforce development, financial management, safety, quality, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, data-driven leader with experience managing large teams, driving operational excellence, and leading change within complex distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or fulfillment environments.

Responsibilities:

· Lead all aspects of distribution center operations, ensuring performance targets related to throughput, productivity, quality, safety, and customer service are achieved.

· Maintain full site-level operational accountability, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.

· Build, mentor, and develop high-performing leadership teams across multiple shifts and operational departments.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, process optimization, labor productivity, and service performance.

· Implement scalable operational processes and best practices to support business growth and evolving customer demands.

· Partner cross-functionally with leadership, finance, human resources, inventory control, transportation, and other business functions to achieve organizational objectives.

· Lead workforce planning, succession planning, employee engagement, retention, and leadership development initiatives.

· Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to eliminate waste and improve operational performance.

· Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and company operating procedures.

· Maintain inventory accuracy and operational controls supporting fulfillment, distribution, and customer satisfaction objectives.

Qualifications & Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or related discipline.

· Minimum 7+ years of progressive leadership experience within distribution, fulfillment, logistics, manufacturing, or related operational environments.

· Minimum 2+ years of direct P&L ownership and financial accountability.

· Proven experience managing large hourly workforces across multiple departments and shifts.

· Demonstrated success improving KPIs, operational performance, productivity, and employee engagement.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making capabilities.

· Experience utilizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and Microsoft Office applications.

· Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

· Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence, coach, and develop teams in fast-paced operational environments.
