We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to provide hands-on technical support for end users in a fast-paced investment banking environment in New York, New York. This Long-term Contract position focuses on resolving desktop, operating system, and account access issues while delivering responsive service through an organized support process. The ideal candidate will combine strong troubleshooting ability with a customer-focused approach and experience supporting Microsoft-based workplace technology.

Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day desktop and help desk support for employees, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and operating system issues.
• Manage user account administration tasks in Active Directory, including access updates, password assistance, and basic permission changes.
• Respond to service desk requests in a timely manner, document issue details clearly, and follow tickets through to completion.
• Support Windows 10 and other Microsoft Windows environments by identifying root causes and applying effective fixes.
• Troubleshoot common end-user problems involving workstations, peripherals, connectivity, and standard business applications.
• Escalate more complex technical issues when needed while maintaining clear communication with users and internal support teams.
• Contribute to a consistent support experience by tracking recurring problems and sharing practical solutions with the team.• At least 3 years of experience in desktop support, help desk, or a similar end-user support role.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory for basic user and access administration.
• Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10 and broader Microsoft Windows environments.
• Ability to perform structured troubleshooting for desktop, software, and access-related issues.
• Experience working with service desk ticketing systems and maintaining accurate support records.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to assist users professionally in a high-demand business setting.
• Comfortable managing multiple support requests while prioritizing tasks effectively.
