Job Description:
Inova Children's is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Chief of Child Neurology to lead our growing pediatric neurology team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a nationally recognized children's health system and contribute to the continued expansion of comprehensive pediatric specialty care throughout Northern Virginia. This full-time position is eligible for a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance.
Inova Children's Neurology is a growing team with expertise in general neurology, fetal-neonatal neurology, epilepsy, neuromuscular, headache, concussion/TBI, neuro-oncology, and hospital care. The Inova Children's Neurology team collaborates in patient care with Neurosurgery, Neuropsychology, Neuroimaging, Neuro-oncology, Genetics, Psychiatry, Developmental Pediatrics, and Neuropathology.
Your role includes:
- Leading a team of child neurologists
- Collaborating with other leaders and teams in the inpatient and outpatient setting to support high-quality, mission driven care
- Outpatient clinics
- Inpatient consultative services and hospital-based care
- Opportunities to teach medical students and residents
- Participation in multidisciplinary pediatric care teams

- Pediatric Emergency Department
- Pediatric Inpatient EEG, Video EEG, and EMU. Outpatient EEG Program, and Sleep Lab

Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certification: Board eligible or board certified in Child Neurology
- Training: Completion of an ACGME Accredited Pediatric Neurology Residency Program.
- Subspecialty expertise in epilepsy, neuromuscular or sleep would be appreciated but not required for this leadership position.
- License: Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start
- Payer Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and ability to enroll as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor
- Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of clinical practice
- Previous Leadership experience or experience building a Pediatric Neurology program
