Analyst, Corporate Banking – Project Finance job at BMO US in New York, NY. Supports the origination and structuring of corporate lending transactions and coordinates with other products as part of a larger coverage team maintaining strong client relationships. Responsibilities Develop written internal and external marketing pitch material. Support deal teams in development, presentation, and winning mandates. Review and assist in preparation of credit documentation (applications, memoranda, presentations, etc.) for internal and external stakeholders. Seek to develop an understanding of client needs and outcomes. Identify opportunities for increased efficiency and improved service to internal and external clients. Provide analytical findings to deal teams. Support the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure alignment between stakeholders. Research and analyze financial and operating information relating to companies and industries. Perform complex financial modeling and run valuation analysis as part of client/industry evaluations. Create statistical exhibits and trend analysis of financial performance for client presentations. Complete due diligence and credit analysis on new and existing client relationships. Prepare industry compilations. Complete quality reports and analyses. Apply technical concepts and understand implications of work to client/transaction. Develop an understanding of and proficiency in using all required systems and models. Provide feedback on and support continuous improvement opportunities. Integrate information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and/or streamlined reporting. Consider risk, internal controls and compliance as part of day‑to‑day accountabilities and adhere to policies and procedures. Focus may be on a business or group. Think creatively and propose new solutions. Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules. Work mostly independently. Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed. Qualifications Typically between 3–5 years of relevant experience and a post‑secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Undergraduate degree with academic coursework in finance, economics, or accounting and outstanding academic achievement. Financial analysis training and experience. Up to 3 years of relevant experience within investment and/or corporate banking unit. Excellent analytical skills and highly skilled in building complex financial models. Expertise in financial computer applications and database management tools. Skilled in creating statistical presentations. Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong collaboration and team skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Strong influence skills.
