Client Overview Our client is a well-established nonprofit organization dedicated to making a positive impact in the local community. They are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their Finance team in a temp-to-permanent opportunity. Salary/Hourly Rate $25/hr - $30/hr Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to support the Accounting department with high-volume accounts payable processing and general accounting functions. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for someone with strong AP experience who enjoys working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. Responsibilities Process high-volume accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently. Code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts. Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentation. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies. Maintain accurate AP records and documentation. Assist with general accounting tasks and month-end close activities as needed. Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding payment inquiries. Support the Controller and Accounting team with additional finance projects. Required Experience / Skills 2+ years of high-volume accounts payable experience. Experience with invoice coding and three-way matching. Bookkeeping or staff accounting experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics NAV (or similar ERP systems). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience / Skills Previous nonprofit accounting experience. Experience supporting general accounting functions in addition to accounts payable. Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
